How do I buy an XBox 360? What are the options and pricing? Can someone break it down for me and help?
I want to buy an XBox 360, but what are the different options? I see a core system, an arcade console, a premium console, an elite high-definition gaming and entertainment console…etc. What are the differences? What is the best option and why? How significant are the price differences? Any information you can provide in helping me buy my system would help. Thank you!
Ok, for starters, I’d say don’t touch the Core system, all core systems are of the older set that has a higher failure rate then systems that have been made in the last year and a half, allso you just get sigifigantly more in the Arcade set for about the same price.
Ok, the main differance is in the hard drives, the Arcade only comes with a memory card, if your planing to download Games or save more then a few your going to need a Hard drive that is provided by the other two but is fine if you just plan on having a game or two and will erase the files when your done.
For the other two it comes down to how much downloading you plan to do, the Premium comes with a 20 gig hard drive, the Elite comes with 120 gigs, both will likely serve your gaming needs, it depends if your going to be downloading alot of videos, expantions and other things that need to be down loaded (At least you don’t have to download game files to the hard drive to the tone of several gigs like the PS3, waiting over half an hour to play some games is murder)
Overall, just look at how much you plan to use the system and buy acordingly, I’d say for about 90 persent of gamers, the premium is the best buy overall.
